Past programs and events:

Networking Events

We hosted events around the city in order to connect young people to each other. We held our events in as many different neighborhoods as possible. Some of our past events have been at the W Hotel in the French Quarter, LePhare, Republic, Contemporary Arts Center, and the Museum of Art at City Park.

For College Students

In 2008, we travelled around the country facilitating workshops with student groups about how they could get involved in the recovery effort in New Orleans. We have held workshops at Yale University, Loyola New Orleans, Spring Hill College, and University of Michigan. We have also held several activities for the hundreds of volunteers that were participating in Alternative Spring Break Programs in New Orleans. Read about one here

Roundtable Discussions/ Education Workshops

In 2007, we conducted workshops at Xavier about how young people could become more civically enagaged and a discussion titled "Youth, Race and Class Matter" in New Orleans East. In 2008, we hosted financial literacy programs, film screenings, New Orleans history programs, and roundtable discussions on different issues in New Orleans.
