Welcome to The New Orleans Young
Urban Rebuilding Professionals Initiative!™
The mission of the NOLA YURP Initiative (NYI) is to build a support and resource network to connect, retain and attract young professionals from diverse backgrounds for a sustainable New Orleans.
The new interactive website allows users to create their own profiles, post jobs, create discussions, add to the community calender, add photos of New Orleans, and share files and media with other members.

Dear NOLA YURP members,
When we began the organization in the summer of 2007, we wanted to provide a network for young people to exchange job information and connect to each other across all race, class, and job sector backgrounds. At the time, there was no organization solely focused on making job connections for young professionals and working to attract new young residents to the city. In the past year, we have done numerous events around the city to help connect people to employment opportunities or to make their job easier by expanding their social circles. In order to build the network, we have asked people to sign up and exchange job information. More than a year later, we now have close to 3,000 people who are signed up!
In order to best serve you and create an open and inclusive atmosphere, where the most talented person receives the job they deserve, we have partnered with 504ward.com and Humidbeings.com to bring you a new job finding website, WorkNOLA.com . The idea behind the new site is to have an easy to use online tool where job information can easily be exchanged. We encourage you to look at the new site to find not only employment or employees, but also to share job information that you may have heard about through a friends' email or a conversation. Thank you all for your support over the past year and we look forward to this new collaboration in New Orleans!
Please sign-up for the launch of WorkNOLA.com
